I installed it and it works. That's all I can ask. I think the downside is that it didn't give me an extra 100 horsepower. Stupid thermostat.

I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the OEM thermostat. This stunt looks a lot skinnier but works great and fits perfectly.

Is it suitable? Yes. It works out? Yes. Given how much less material was used in the manufacture compared to my original, I thought hard about keeping the original as it worked well. (I've just decided to replace it as I've had a full 90,000 mile service).

In short, I never bothered to put this thermostat in my Tundra. To be clear, its design didn't really inspire confidence; After looking at the OEM Toyota thermostat I pulled out of the truck I could tell that this was very cheap. The OEM thermostat was reliable while this one seemed very cheap and weighed several times less than the original so I couldn't bring myself to install this unit. I have used Stant products in other cars but this one was a little disappointing.

It came as ordered and pictured and mine Mechanic (I think lol?) installed - didn't ask for a gasket and I don't remember now if it came with it, but not sure if the FIPG tube is usable if after sealing the water pump with the timing belt some left over - these guys are good so they would give me a new part if it didn't work properly --- the tempo works fine on the Lexus GX470 and no complaints - I see some people saying it's an OEM, but I guess for Lexus it's not an exact match to the original
