Starfrit Stainless Replacement Blades Rotato Review

I was grateful that I purchased additional blades because before I realized the bowl or stem was getting stuck in the blade, I started using a few more than I should have done I once used a toothpick to poke things out of the inside of the blade. It was smooth.

WE LOVE OUR STARFRIT POTATO! THIS MAKES THE JOB GREAT AND SAVES SO MUCH TIME IT'S AMAZING. I EVEN USE IT TO PEEL MY APPLES WHEN I BAKING CAKES. EACH BLADE WORKS FOR APPROX. ONE YEAR WITH REGULAR USE - SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. PURCHASING THESE KNIVES WILL PROVIDE US FOR APPROX. FOUR YEARS. JUST LOVE IT!

We have an old Dazey puller. These replacement blades fit perfectly. However, there is a very small difference in the blade itself. The functional difference is that, as others have pointed out, the top and bottom of what you clean isn't as good as the original blades. Ok, other than that it works fine.

They are easy to install, no chipping inside the knife, fairly easy to clean once removed, cut almost through. When slicing apples and cucumbers the cutter skipped a small area on the top of the skin which allowed me to lower my rating by one star and this may be due to the design of the machine and not the cutter.

Having broken my wrist gives me a bad grip so peeling apples and potatoes is very painful and I rely heavily on my rotato peeler and need replacement blades , but the installation is a bit difficult . The video was VERY helpful. In fact, without them, I just couldn't figure out how to use the blades. Of course I'm 65 and my kids say I'm just not mechanical.

Mama makes Lefse from real potatoes twice a year. She is 67 years old, has arthritis in her hands and can no longer peel potatoes by hand as much. I bought her a rotary potato peeler about 7 years ago and she loves it. This year she asked me if I could find replacement blades for her and I was very happy to find her here. it processes about 15 pounds of potatoes a year, and that makes it quick and easy to process all of those potatoes.

I bought these blades to replace the blades I had with my potato peeler and they are of a different quality. The plastic looks different (less smooth) and the little plastic "thing" that you have to pull back with your finger to insert the blade isn't as flexible, making new blades hard to insert and even harder to pull out. These blades functioned very differently than the original blades that came with the Rotato (originally purchased in the 90's). These replacement blades reduce the space between the blade and the plastic mounting arm. It is very difficult to start peeling as the blades just rub the fruit/vegetable without digging in. When the blades start to cut, the skins of apples, potatoes and anything else often get stuck in the flat blade. each time you try to clean the blade it causes more work. Tried 3…
