This addition to the original StarMark training collar is perfect when the original collar is not large enough. This whole system works great when training your dog. The collar and these extensions are human and won't hurt your dog like some metal trainers do.

The collar itself is a great training tool and depending on the breed you will need these extensions. They are durable and easily attach to adjust the size of your collar instead of having to buy a new collar. Great innovation! I prefer plastic pens to metal pens so they are great.

I'm not entirely thrilled with this product but I think I'd buy it anyway (I still use it almost every day). The concept and idea is great and the product has remained in good condition so far. I have a large dog that can definitely carry a lot. The lock/release function can be tricky and confusing, and I would question the effectiveness of artificial teeth on dogs with long and/or thick coats. I love this training collar. It helps me control my 9 month old Rottie puppy who weighs 100lbs. The collar is also dark in color and matches his fur very well so I get less judgmental looks from strangers when they see me walking him, unlike a metal spiked collar. When people saw that, they automatically assumed he was a problem puppy. I was skeptical about using this collar as recommended by the handler, but if used correctly it will NOT harm the dog. I have a 65 pound poodle puppy who pulls a lot when walking. I tried conservative training with minimal results: he still pulled, a little less, which was still unacceptable. I contacted a local trainer.
