Unreliable and Inaccurate Square

Tools and Home Improvement category disappointed our team with this square's lack of precision. Using this product our team found that its measurements were often off, resulting in faulty cuts. The only redeeming quality was its durability, but what good is that when it doesn't do the job it was designed for? Overall, we wouldn't recommend this product to anyone serious about getting accurate measurements..

Pros
  • Durable
Cons
  • Unreliable and inaccurate

Useless junk - not worth it

Tools and Home Improvement should stay far away from this square .The pro is that it looks nice but thats about it. THE cons are endless - it's not square, it's not level, and it's a complete waste of money. Save your hard-earned cash and invest in something that actually works properly..

Pros
  • Stainless steel material provides durability and corrosion resistance
Cons
  • May not be affordable for those on a tight budget

Fine workmanship and precision

Meets the same high standards as other Starrett Toolmaker angle series. I believe the Master Precision series is even better and made in America. But at 2 1/2 times the price, it's only worth it for the most discerning mechanic. For me, this square is more than adequate for tool setting and woodworking. I bought this in addition to my 6" Toolmaker Square because the smaller size is better for fine marking and checking joined edges for squareness. This is probably overkill for most tree…
