Does not convert VGA to RCA. It's not a converter, it's just a cable

It does exactly what it says it does, but probably not what you expect. It carries the same signal and just changes the connection type - so if you want to take a VGA output and change it to an RCA input - it won't work. You need a converter, not just a cable or adapter. Example: Computer VGA output to TV VGA input. NO! I have a useless cable if anyone wants to get in I can take it for free. Good quality cables

These cables are great for transferring 15 pin component video to RCA connectors. I just wish the red, blue, and green wires were thicker. However, all cables have the same thin wires, even the expensive Vaddio drop cables.

Not suitable for my application

The purpose of purchasing this cable was to output VGA from a video synthesizer to the Black Magic Intensity Shuttle Y-Pb-Pr component input. It did not work. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that to get the desired result I needed some kind of scan converter. I realize this is a pretty specific application, but the description of this cable is missing a lot of information compared to some other similar cables. So buyers beware. Wrong item received. Be careful.

I received an HDMI to component instead of the pictured VGA component. It converts HDMI to component and requires a micro USB cable for power. The cable worked and I still need it, but it's not at all what I ordered.

I think it's a very simple VGA out to a red, blue and green RCA in, nothing complicated. Do not sell such an adapter if it does not work.

Buzzing sound from this cable

I'm not sure if I have a defective cable but when I tried to use it with my Nt Mini I heard background hissing. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the hum was 100% coming from this cable - when I unplugged the RCA audio cables and left this cable plugged in, the hum remained.
