Conveniently in the data center!

These are ideal for the data center when you need to connect your laptop or phone charger to a rack mount PDU. Unlike some smaller adapters, they don't block other outlets, which is handy if you only have one open on the entire PDU. Anyone working in a data center should already know this, but note that this will NOT convert 208/230V from a PDU to 120V. So make sure whatever you connect has an auto-ranging power supply!

Indispensable for every technique

Power adapter for all countries (no, really). Almost every data center or office with a PDU has standard IEC outlets, but your laptop, phone charger, battery charger is all you need... we... don't. Plug this adapter into any of the IEC PDU outlets and you will have a standard North American/5-15R outlet. Do you travel around the world? Typically, monitors/printers/network devices/servers have a local plug and an IEC connector. Add one of these and an instant local socket adapter.

Works well, well made, handy gadgets

Like many Star Tech products, these are handy little tech gadgets that I might not have guessed if I hadn't stumbled across them. In most cases there are probably other manufacturers of whatever besides Star Tech, but I was happy with the value for money and prefer to choose them first now. It has always annoyed me that our nice expensive computer server racks are supposed to have too many servers with the expected PDU type power cords in the PDUs, and therefore too many of them and only a few…
