I prefer them over Intel I350 network adapters.

I use these instead of Intel i350 cards. One thing I particularly like is that the RJ45 holes aren't as close together as Intel NICs, making it easier for my fingers to remove cables that have RJ45 anti-jam material under the RJ45 plastic tab sticks. I regularly drive through them at high speed with a Spirent box and haven't noticed any issues with drivers, performance or temperatures.

Works perfectly! - Internal components

I have a lot of experience with computer hardware, so installation was easy. Locate a compatible PCIe slot on your motherboard and connect the device. The best advice I can give to buyers of this Network Interface Card (NIC) is to read the manual and take precautions to avoid electrostatic damage to the NIC (i.e. install the device in a suitable environment and wear an anti-static wrist strap to use). ). It's also important to understand how using this device in a PCIe slot on your motherboardโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Annoys

Although my home network doesn't have LACP support (and I don't really need it, except for nerds), I certainly enjoyed having four gigabit ports on one card spread across the different functions and/or virtual machines of my server. My only complaint is that the card bracket doesn't quite fit into the slot on my Storm Stryker case, but I can't remove the star as it's not clear if this is due to a gap on the motherboard, a case/cable routing issue or not something with the shape of my cardโ€ฆ

I've been building PCs for over 15 years and have encountered countless hardware and software issues in that time. In addition, I am a Licensed/Certified Computer Technician with many years of experience. I'm also well versed in setting up large networks and anything related to network configurations etc. In other words, I'm not new to proper software/hardware uninstall/installation and the necessary troubleshooting that may be required to resolve potential issues. .My motherboard's built-inโ€ฆ

As other reviews have mentioned - BE CAREFUL

Other reviews have pointed out an issue with these cards which resulted in the PC not being able to post. Unfortunately - I ran into the same problem. I tried installing this card in 4 separate PCI slots with BIOS reset between each crash. The computer starts and works properly when the card is removed, but when it is installed the PC does not start. I have ordered a replacement BUT I am very concerned about the overall functionality of this product. Will be updated when replacement has beenโ€ฆ

  • Nice
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
