I bought this product because I really didn't want to bother figuring out how much thermal paste to use. Was very disappointed. When applying the product to the processor, it came off along with the plastic strip no matter how you applied it. The edges stuck, but the center pulled up, leaving a bubble and stretching the bond.
Waste of time and money. These thermal pads were purchased to use when installing a new heatsink and fan in my HP Pavilion dv2911us laptop. These pads were extremely thin - all five combined were less than a quarter the thickness of the original thermal pad I was trying to replace. Second, the adhesive backing was so dense that I couldn't separate the thermal material from the backing without tearing the thermal material. This is the second time I have purchased a StarTech product and like my last experience, the product I received was terrible. The instructions are printed so small that you need a magnifying glass. The strips arrive in a neat ziplock plastic bag and they look like they should work. It should have been a simple action: clean the radiator. Clean the processor. Remove the plastic from the strip.
