It just works - it's what you need

One USB port turned into 4. I use an external keyboard (I'm better at typing), an external mouse (much more control for Visio and other things), my phone charger and my Altec Lansing Baby Boom (for music) from a single PC USB port via this unit. No negative impact on the performance of anything. Perfect. Maybe I should have gotten one with more ports? It just works! That's what you want from him.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I'll add it later

Great hub but: Computer accessories and peripherals

Love the quality of this USB hub, it does its job and does it well. The problem is that the ports are too close together! I can only use two flash drives at the same time. There isn't enough space for four flash drives, I like the hub and it works well, but I'm disappointed in the lack of space. Big disappointment in a great product.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Great USB extender but wish the cable was longer

Great quality but wish the cable was a little longer and I also wish it had mounting tape but it works as promised and has opened more usb ports on my pc what is the ultimate goal. Manufactured by a trusted company with a 1 year warranty.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Something different

Expensive, but StarTech never disappoints.

hey this is a hub how complicated can it be? Well my job requires me to use many different hubs and many of them are patchy. StarTech continues to impress in that I haven't had a single product from them that doesn't meet specs. Of course they're a lot more expensive, but in this case I needed a simple hub for a project that didn't have room for a questionable USB port. This was the fourth product I tried and it works as advertised with no issues. I can't say the same for the other three.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • boring packaging

Added extra USB ports that I needed

Has a short cable so I can connect to my last USB port and now I have 3 extra ports to add other USB products. The Velcro is used to attach to the side of the computer at a convenient place for use.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Worked fine but had one of my red chargers.

Worked fine but I had one of my red charge lights that was having trouble keeping the red light on had to keep it still. I think the problem was in the loading bar but it got resolved.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • dim
