Simple but great! A series of numbers that indicate the number of the shelf where the product is located. Now counting units in a 42U rack isn't the hardest task in the world, but it's getting obsolete - it speeds up the process, reduces stress, and accelerates progress. I will put these stickers on all of our shelves and on every shelf. how do we get it from now on.

Awesome server rack labels counted bottom up so note they don't count top down (Counting from bottom to top is the standard server rack marking in my environment). They're easy to peel and stick, and there's no problem here: they're useful, affordable, and help keep server rack space labeled and tidy. This sticker is for rack 3U. would recommend.

I'm usually a big fan of StarTech for everything and they make great products at reasonable prices that work almost flawlessly. However, those rack labels just didn't work for me. The idea is great and they looked promising. They would be extremely useful on a bigger and taller rack. But they just don't hold up well enough and keep popping out of the pole. StarTech.com Rack Labels - Server Rack Alignment Strips up to 49U make good labels. You really can't get much more information than sizing and adhesion. Labels are supplied in full strips, 0.4" or 10mm wide and 85.8" or 2179mm long and you will receive 2 strips. The tape has a recommended operating temperature of -50°C to 90°C (-58°F to 104°F) and a maximum storage temperature of 32°C (0°F). You have the option to cut the ribbon as you like. 2 year tape guarantee.

If you have 4 or 5 devices connected to your computer and need to keep track of which is which while disassembling and reassembling, these alignment strips are perfect! The stand you attached to the wall to align all the cables would be perfect for these labels. If you have an H drive, you will need the same H drive when assembling your computer. A new desk or long-distance move make these strips a must-have. For an added touch, take a picture of everything before you take it apart.

While it makes sense that this product existed, I had no idea it even existed. You see, in my working life, I want all the racks to be mapped. The hardware must be registered in the rack and the assets listed by position U in the rack. Some racks already have numbers printed on the racks, some don't (that's why Dymo label printers exist)...is this what I've been looking for all this time? It shouldn't be that difficult to align equipment in a rack, but somehow it is. This is especially problematic when you have multiple 1U units that need to match. (Server racks are categorized by U dimensions. U is the standard unit of measurement used to denote the vertical space occupied in a rack. 1U equals 1.74 inches.)
