    First thought, Win7 did not like it

    The originally purchased cable will be visible to the Win 7 laptop, but it will not even be recognized by the test program, which the technical support forcibly passed. "Putty" did the swap and the 2nd wire will be visible to their diagnostic program but still not to my third party program which is looking for a serial input. General feeling if you can get away with another type, put another, and then with a serial converter DO IT, it was all a waste of a week and a half of my time. For example

    Great short cable - Good connection

    These cables I bought were delivered quickly and not expensive at all. The link looks like a gold link, but I'm not sure if it's real gold. Either way, the connector snaps into place when I insert it into my phone, which I really like. I'm happy to find plugs that feel solid when plugged in. For the price this is a good wire.

    This is not a reliable data cable

    I bought this cable because it was cheap and looked like a pretty good cable. However, it worked as a charger but not as a data cable on multiple computers. Not sure if it's a computer or a cable, but on some computers the phone wasn't recognized when I plugged in the phone. Even for the PCs that recognized the phone, the connection was unreliable. If you're looking for a data cable, you can look elsewhere.

    Works with Motorola Droid

    I don't know what to say. I bought it to use at work with my Motorola Droid. I'm a few days into it and it's working fine so far. I had no issues with the cable and had no trouble connecting my droid to it. This cable meets my expectations. I will unsubscribe if I have problems with it in the future. Update (4/17/2013) 3 years later and the cable still works fine for me. I've been using it with HTC Windows Phone 7 for a year and a half with no problems. It stayed connected to my desktop and Iโ€ฆ

    don't charge - Cables & Connections

    Bought this cable from cmple seller. I connected it to my Samsung Galaxy S3 and the battery either stayed the same or even decreased. Tried in different ports and in the car - same result. This article has gone to the trash. I spent $8 on a wired USB car charger from another well known company that I found at the Burlington Coat Factory (of all places) and it worked great. Spend a little more to get quality or not, you will come back to this site in a month after buying another item.

    Attention! DO NOT BUY THIS CABLE

    These cables will not perform as advertised. I originally bought a couple of these cables to charge my EVO3D on the go and at home from my trusted HTC OEM charger. The shield is very cheap and after only two months of use the ends of the wires (the part just before the ends of the molded connector) split open revealing the wires inside. Also, these cables couldn't charge my phone from the HTC USB wall OEM port, nor from the computer's USB connection. I promise you will kick yourself if you buyโ€ฆ
