Worth every last penny.

This adapter was worth every single penny I spent. The cherry on top was the fact that it arrived the DAY OF ordering. As soon as it arrived, I unboxed it. Packaging was very straightforward, and there wasn't that much paper to dig through just to find the adapter itself (in fact, the only piece of paper I found was under the actual adapter, that's a bonus). It's entirely plug & play. I originally downloaded the drivers for this model from Startech's website, but plugging it in after installing…

Pros
  • Compatible with both Windows and MacOS
Cons
  • Does not support HDR output

Really worth setting it up correctly in display settings

I love the extra screens. I am using this dual card in addition to a single card startech that I purchased last year on a usb3 hub to allow for 4 large screens and the laptop screen, which I rarely use. All ports are HDMI in this install. The important thing to do it configure the monitors, in display settings, so that the same monitor is always checked as the "main display" and all monitors are in the same position under all scenarios of activity - no matter how the monitors decide to…

Pros
  • Saves desk space by eliminating the need for extra cables
Cons
  • Signal interference becomes noticeable on some systems

Blood simple; plug and play

Could not get the first unit I received to work at all. Chatted with Startech support; support tech pronounced it DOA. I initiated an exchange through Best Buy, got a new unit the following day. that one worked perfectly.Nothing but good to say here. The product just works: you plug it in and you have two more monitors. I was previously running two monitors off the existing single motherboard video chip -- one off the HDMI port and one off the VGA port -- and now I have four monitors, just like

Easier than expected

Was a little concerned about this, because I already have an external device to manage my monitors. But wanted to add a third external monitor. Also this is a company laptop with software restrictions. Having said all that, I followed the instructions, and everything worked as expected. The install was quick and easy and the third External monitor worked correctly the first time. I wanted to extend the screen across the 4 monitors so I have different things on each of the screens to improve…

Pros
  • Easy to install and set up
Cons
  • Not compatible with some screen resolutions

It does exactly what it's supposed to do!

My overall rating will be a 5 because it does exactly what it is advertised to do. The screen quality is a 4 for me because there are times where I am moving tabs around and the screen get slow/choppy, but it is still better than workin on a single screen.

Pros
  • Hooked up to my laptop and it instantly worked wonderfully well. Great buy!
Cons
  • It is not compatible with gaming consoles

Worked Nearly Flawlessly (Would Buy Again)

I bought this out of an emergency to replace pretty much everything I had for 8 years until my Aorus laptop finally died from physical hardware damage that was beyond repair. I picked up an Acer Nitro 5 for a temporary replacement to get by until I get my next monster laptop that should last a decade. Part of the setup included 3 monitors and when I found out that the Acer Nitro 5 was incapable of doing external video through the USB C port I had to pay up for something that had a GPU in it so…

Pros
  • Comes with a 2-year warranty for customer assurance
Cons
  • Some customers reported compatibility issues with particular laptop brands

Cons
  • It is only suitable for Windows and MacOS operating systems

Worked on Lenovo laptop

I searched for weeks for a solution how to dock my personal laptop on my work monitor station and I almost gave up and bought a new laptop. I still have to move the usb keyboard/mouse over but this connects on one usb with two hdmi cords to my monitor. So streamlined, and I didn’t have to trade my laptop in.

Pros
  • Works like I expected it would, no issues
Cons
  • Only compatible with limited dual display configurations

Finally! A working adapter!

I have tried a number of adapters, trying to get one that will do the job and this is the only one that worked. Using it with an Acer laptop I followed the directions and it installed and started working immediately.

Pros
  • USB-to-VGA Adapters
Cons
  • The 4K video output is not consistent

Was Very Easy to Set Up!

We hired a new business manager and she wanted a two screen setup for her desk. Her laptop had only one HDMI port and it wouldn't support a two split screen setup so I researched my options and using a USB port was my only option. Prices ranged from $15 to $300+ so I found the StarTech model to have good reviews and a decent price. It came in quickly and I was going to install it in a few days but the next morning I found that the new bus. mgr. had already installed it and it was working fine…

Pros
  • Does not cause any lag or delay while switching between displays
Cons
  • Not recommended for VR gaming

Simple and effective.

This product does as advertised and further impresses with small conveniences (eg. the model name is intuitive "USB32HD2" and printed on the device so its easy to find when you go to update the drivers). Compact. Not too hot. Etc.Plug it in. Plug your two HDMIs in (if you need 4K, mind the two different ports). Voila, you have three monitors. For business/home office users this is an easy 5-stars and it's very difficult for anything to go awry. For gamers (where I've seen other reviews mention…
