    It works! Replaced OEM product on my boat

    I previously replaced the OEM product that controls the trim switch/pump on my 2007 Crownline 200 LS boat. Matches the OEM product well and is of high quality. Works as intended.

    Worked great: Starter

    is a bit shorter than the OEM part so probably better to replace in pairs but as I didn't order a pair I only installed one. The only downside was that the cover that goes between both relays didn't sit perfectly flat due to the height difference. Overall I think it does the job and is a lot cheaper than an OEM part from a traditional supplier.

    Perfect tilt solenoid replacement for the Searay 183

    Aside from accessing a bottleneck in the case motor area, replacing the two up/down tilt solenoids on the Searay 183 was a breeze. Just pay attention to which cables go where (cell phone photo). Of course, disconnect the battery before touching anything. They fit perfectly. Even the mounting holes were there. I put this project on hold because I was afraid I would screw everything up - it was all done in 90 minutes.

    I ordered two, one worked and the other one did NOT work. 50% marriage is terrible!

    I ordered two, one worked, one did NOT work. 50% defects are terrible! I installed these solenoids on a Mercruiser fairing in VERY tight spaces. It took me over two hours to find out that this solenoid was faulty and then I had to pull this faulty solenoid out and replace it with a working solenoid, another two hours wasted! I would NOT order this product from this supplier again in the future. When ordering these solenoids you must ensure they work BEFORE installing them.

    I'm having trouble starting the boat. Sometimes it clicked and didn't work, but after a few tries it always worked. After doing my homework (google) this solenoid was suggested as a first step before looking at the starter as it is a common source of error and an easy/inexpensive fix. For now it solved my problem and everything was fine. It should be noted that the old solenoid had somewhat large small pins so I had to adapt my wire connectors for this, but it wasn't really a problem, just…
