Description of πŸ”§ HCDC RPi GPIO Status LED & Terminal Block Breakout Board HAT for Raspberry Pi A+ 3A+ B+ 2B 3B 3B+ 4B" - Enhanced SEO-optimized product name: "HCDC RPi GPIO Status LED & Terminal Block Breakout HAT Board for Raspberry Pi A+ 3A+ B+ 2B 3B 3B+ 4B

The item has been soldered and assembled. Support for Raspberry Pi A+ 3A+ B+ 2B 3B 3B+ 4B. GPIO status LED and power 5V / 3.3V indication. GPIO output or input level high LED on, output or input level low LED off. 5V blue, 3.3V red, GPIOs green. The position of the LED is in a one-to-one correspondence with the position of the Raspberry Pi 2x20pin connector, and the logic level of the GPIO can be observed very quickly and intuitively. The driving current of each LED is only 0.1mA, so you don't have to worry about it affecting the read and write status of GPIO. Terminal block pitch 3.5mm/0.138", wire size range 26AWG to 16AWG, strip length 5mm, screw M2 steel, pin header and cage copper. 2 x 20 pins expansion pin header, height 8mm/0.32". Packing list: 1x terminal block breakout module, 4x M2.5x16mm nylon standoffs, 4x M2.5x6mm nylon standoffs, 4x M2.5 nylon nuts(NOTE: the item not include Raspberry Pi Board). Nice addition to experimenting with 40 pin Raspberry Pi

A handy Pi HAT that leaves all pins accessible and also allows you to screw in the wiring. The LEDs are very informative and will tell you if you forgot to complete e.g. GPIO.cleanup() or set the wrong pin high or low.

Pros
  • part soldered and assembled. Support for Raspberry Pi A+ 3A+ B+ 2B 3B 3B+ 4B
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Ideal IoT I/O deployment on 35mm DIN Rail Pi

This hat is not your typical 40 pin Pi GPIO splitter. It's 100% IoT (I/O in and out) with lots of extra 3.7V, 5V and ground connections. It offers a better 5V DC connection than the micro USB port. In addition, it leaves full access for the standard 40-wire Pi ribbon cable with 40 Dupont pins. The built-in LEDs are very useful for debugging the wiring logic.

Pros
  • Packing List: 1 x Terminal Block, 4 x M2.5 x 16mm Nylon Stand, 4 x M2.5 x 6mm Nylon Stand, 4 x M2.5 Nylon Nut (NOTE: Raspberry Pi board not included).
Cons
  • Almost never

Best GPIO breakout board I've used

I had previously bought another breakout board and accidentally burned the Pi because something on it shorted out. Not only does this work great, but the LEDs that show contact status are life savers.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good addition to experimenting with the 40-pin Raspberry Pi header

A handy Pi HAT that leaves all pins accessible and also allows the wiring to be screwed on. The LEDs are very informative and will tell you if you forgot to complete e.g. GPIO.cleanup() or set the wrong pin high or low.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Really useful to "see " what is happening on the GPIO pins.

So far I've only used LED indicators for contacts. Haven't tried using terminal blocks yet. It has green LEDs for each of the signal GPIOs, red LEDs for the 3.3V pins, and blue LEDs for the two 5V pins. The GND pins are essentially "black" with no LED. An interesting observation is that there appear to be about 9 pins that have some sort of "pull-up" resistor connected to them, as these pins glow green when in input mode. I don't know if there is a pull-up feature on the Model 3A+ board I'm…

Pros
  • good thing
