Disappointed with tools and hardware

Very disappointed, 20 gauge pin release tool broke on first use, can't say much about the quality and it wasn't my fault, I'm a Cummins Certified Technician and have an IM degree Automotive Technologies division. I've been sharpening keys for 17 years.

Not suitable for large wires.

When using larger tools, there is not enough cutout to bypass the wire/cable and insert the tool into the hole. I had to go back to cheap open-ended plastic. I bought them hoping I could get rid of those flimsy plastic parts. It's bad if they break inside. But the little ones work great.

Meets or exceeds expectations

Very simple, it works exactly as advertised and maybe a little better. Great tool for electrical work on Deutsch connectors. TIP: This is not a screwdriver, if you twist the tool while it is inserted into the socket, it will either bend or break in two, either way the tool will become unusable. Twisting pin connector tools while removing or installing is the fastest way I know to destroy this tool.

Will not work with German CE connectors

Removal tools seem to be too short to work with German CE connectors. If you insert the tool as far as the wire slot will allow, you are still missing the internal pin inside the connector that holds the wire (pin/socket) in place. I have now tried several different German CE connectors. with end bells removed and has yet to remove one with this tool kit. I always have to resort to the plastic style with a hole through the tool. I wish they worked better, maybe you'll have better luck cutting…

This remedy is NOT a panacea presented in the description. I will not buy again!

Tool "A" (95886-06) was damaged and unusable after the second stamped and formed contact socket was removed! In my experience with DEUTSCH plastic hoods with the same pins and connectors, I was able to pull out over 60 pins without damaging the tool (mainly due to wear and tear). I have worked with the DEUTSCH connector for ten years and before that 35 years with AMP and CANNON multi-pin plugs that require the pin to be inserted and removed. I've never (even when I was starting) experienced…
