Works best with heat guns

This gun replaces the Steinel gun I have been using for 15 years. It heats up slower and has less control over airflow. The digital controller also regulates the temperature more slowly. My old gun had a dial to set the temperature, which was more convenient, but it was poorly made of plastic and often broke, requiring repairs with epoxy. The button system of the new weapon should be more reliable. In general it works fine.

Pros
  • Soldering and soldering accessories
Cons
  • No instructions

Steinel Winner!

heat gun is very durable and quite accurate. This is about 25-35 degrees below the stated average temperature range and above. If you need higher accuracy, you can look at another model. Most heat guns turn off when the temperature rises. The various tips included make this a winner!. A hard plastic case is sufficient, but I ordered another hard plastic case from Steinel that holds the gun and bits more securely. The best thing to do is to search for Steinel 40100 here on Revain. Heat gun made…

Good product good value for money

Good quality heat gun, easy to read LCD display and temperature setting in 10 degree increments. Comes with many attachments, unbeatable price. hence my 4 star rating - I actually bought a separate molded plastic case (Steinel 40100) which fits the gun perfectly and has plenty of room for accessories. Made in Romania (I did a little research and found that many Steinel, Bosch, Milwaukee heat guns are actually similar and made in the same Bosch factory in Romania)

Pros
  • Welding and soldering
Cons
  • Some bugs

Excellent quality, ease of use and great value for money.

This heat gun is very well made. Temperature changes in 10 degree increments over a temperature range of 120 to 1100 F. The digital display of set temperature and current outlet temperature are valuable features and the gun offers quick and accurate control to meet the exact needs of the job at hand. The design allows you to set up the gun without a stand and without disturbing the airflow. Steinel costs a few dollars more than other brands. I bought this based on Steinel's reputation among…
