Love these binoculars.

These are amazing binoculars. The optics are the best I've ever tried. The built-in compass makes them ideal for use on the water.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • The list will be long.

I love her! on Camera & Photo

My experience was great. I have other binoculars and this is my favorite binocular. The optics are exactly as expected. The build quality is as expected. I have a fun life ahead of me, I will swim with mine.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

it's rubbish, expensive junk

The worst thing about these binoculars is the "ghosting", poor site focus - the image is blurry and distorted, this is a terrible product, especially in eyes with a compass . How can someone who knows binoculars give 5 stars? Chinese binoculars for $50 have the best image quality, that's a really fair guess as I own 5 different binoculars and I know what I'm talking about.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • So far so good

A prerequisite for the purchase of this STEINER MARINE COMMANDER SERIES binoculars was a person with TREMOR. Results of spending $1,100. This company didn't live up to their hype. The technician spent an hour with me on the ship. The end result was IT WAS NOT WHAT IT SAID. I was very disappointed. I spent $1,100. no way! I had to balance my elbows on a carpet on the ship's railing. Damn!

Pros
  • practical article
Cons
  • only available in black

Bubble in compass/navigator or basic Steiner Marine binoculars As Good

I have Steiner Marine and Steiner Commander binoculars. Both 7X50 binoculars are designed for use at sea as the 7x magnification is about what is recommended on a wavy sea deck when trying to focus. A Steiner Marine pair is the cheapest they sell. Steiner Commander is the most expensive they sell. The performance is identical. Lifespan is currently unknown. The compass on Commander, which is obviously not a fixed part of the increase, has a bubble and rises from time to time, which is annoying.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • I have problems
