Helps greatly with cushioning when added to a Gravely mower that came with a seat bolted to a metal frame. The seat still isn't the best, but it's probably just a bad factory seat.

Get some springiness with this part. That's better than no suspension at all. I didn't save this suspension kit because I wanted more than just rear suspension. It helped a little. This made the original seat slightly better for cutting grass. If you want more comfort, you have to spend more money for a fully adjustable suspension seat. There are several on the market so you don't have to pay the dealers 3-4 times their value.

These are two plates connected by nylon rollers. The so-called "damping effect" is the result of two plates sliding back and forth with little clearance. No vertical (top-to-bottom) damping or (side-to-side).
