Good set, works as intended

Seems to be a well made set. I only used one size and compressed the rings on a Stihl Wood Boss 024AV. Inexpensive and does its job well.

Good product! for engine cooling and air conditioning

I wish I had bought this many years ago. I used it on a 2003 Yamaha Raptor 80. It worked great and the plunger went in like clockwork. The butt stabilizer kept the butt straight and firm. The ring compressor required a minimum pressure to compress the rings. The plunger kicked in immediately on the first try. This set is essential for repairing small engines.

Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

The flexibility and resilience of plastic compression rings are ideal. Once I've snapped the rings onto the pistons (reminder: 2-stroke pistons usually have a guide pin, the gap in the ring goes there AND it doesn't matter which side of the ring is up...the top of the piston). A common mistake that most…
