These are a good value for the price point

Some of the other reviewers were correct, when they said the quality of the shoe has changed. I was thrilled to get the shoes at $25 less than the local department store. However, the shape of the toe box has changed a little (straight across rather than longer at the big toe), so they look a little different. I can wear running socks with the new pair, vs. thin dress socks with the old pair, and they measured 1/2 cm longer than the old pair. So I'll buy a set of heel huggers and deal with…

Pros
  • Great quality - very comfortable. Great fit - true to size. Simple and stylish - just timeless.
Cons
  • Not durable

A true classic they won't stop making

I buy my wife a new pair of these in black and brown every three years since 1999. Franco Sarto keeps making, and she keeps wearing them. The price has gone up $60.00 over the past 24 years, but the quality hasn't waned.

Pros
  • Smooth and sleek appearance
Cons
  • Noisy heel

My second pair for my opinion

I've always loved these particular pair of Franco Sarto shoes. My original pair got lost somehow so I had to get another pair! They are absolutely comfortable, stylish and professional. I can wear these all day.

Pros
  • Ideal for work or leisure
Cons
  • Heavy to wear

Good shoe, repest - my new review

I have purchased more than one pair of these over the years, so I knew what I was in for. This is a fantastic shoe, but does have some drawbacks. For my needs, and for my feet, as long as I stick and some arch supports, and allow time to break in and stretch the toebox a bit, these are fabulous. It’s hard to find shoes that match ones taste and are also comfortable enough for the workday. The square toebox is a winner, but I wish the toebox was higher to allow more room for the thickness of my…

Pros
  • Very nice product . Loved it just too large for me
Cons
  • Easily scuffed

Sharp tacks under inside lining.

Not built well. Sharp tacks under inside lining. Pierces bottom of heel after one all day wear. Major ouch Inside shoe heel area both shoes have protruding tacks. Can't fix it. It's sewn in. Didn't know until i wore them for first time after buying several months ago. Horrible. Like having a small rock in your shoe!

Pros
  • I don't wear heals anymore. Love these for work in the office.
Cons
  • Unappealing design

Something changed with Franco Sarto Bocca shoes

I'm not sure if there are different suppliers or manufacturers being used, but something definitely changed over the years. I have bought many pairs of these shoes, but the last two pairs the sizing was off. Also, the leather is more stiff and does not bend as easily. I used to wear them right out the box, but this latest pair required stretching AND a good breaking in to start feeling comfortable. These should probably be ok after a few wears.

Pros
  • Fits as expected. Looks nice with jeans. Happy with the purchase
Cons
  • No arch support

Runs large, looks nice!

I typically wear a 9.5 or 10, preferably in Wide sizes if I can find them. Ordered a 9.5 Wide in these after reading reviews saying they run large. Glad I did because I would've been swimming in a size 10! Even with thick-ish socks I'll need to buy some anti-slip stickers for the inside of the heels, but I'd rather they fit slightly large than small. Overall, these shoes look really nice and feel good other than running slightly large.

Pros
  • Perfect for both formal and casual occasions
Cons
  • Excessive creasing

Really a nice, classic shoe.

I've wanted these loafers for SO long, and I finally bit the bullet and bought TWO pairs. Way back when I first saw them, I think they were considerably more expensive, and it just seemed like there was always something else that took priority. Now, at a much better price, I'm so glad I finally got them. They're a true classic . look really good with tights and a knee-length, straight skirt, by the way. I first bought a 10.5M (I normally wear a 10M), based on reviews, deciding to err on the…

Pros
  • Great product at a great price. Much cheaper than the brick & mortar store that didn't have my size.
Cons
  • Too tight around the toes
