Step2 578400 MailMaster Express Plastic Review

I love this mailbox! Now my daughter doesn't have to travel to get our mail! Very durable and attractive. He can easily withstand the Florida sun!

We already had a 4x4 rack but the farm truck removed the rest of the mailbox. It fit perfectly and worked great. We still have to attach the top to the post - it's been too cold to walk there lately and we're on the main street so we don't want to spend much time on it in the evenings so we'll do it on a Sunday or a quieter one have to wait a while - and it still works great. Good mailbox for the price and it looks good so far.

I had 2 previous Step2 mailboxes and they were great. The first crashed because of a drunk driver. The 2nd was wrecked by someone driving a van on my narrow street. I ordered this one because I could get it quicker. It is not that strong as the stand consists of 2 parts and requires additional assembly. The plastic also seems to be thinner. Basic 3 piece Plastic Mailbox. You will need to purchase a 4 x 4 wood post to set it in and drop 2 feet down to stick into the ground; Buy a bag of cement, dig a two-foot hole, fill it with cement, steam it, stick a mailbox post in it, and in about an hour it's dry and ready to stand there for years. At one point we had trouble fitting the center section into the 4 x 4 wooden frame, so instead of shaving the wood I just took my sharpest knife and neatly shaved some of the plastic edge. Voila…

This mailbox is made of high quality plastic. a helical mailbox that attaches to the top of the rack.
