🪒 16 oz. conditioning shave cream - Stephans Stay Smooth Review

This shaving conditioner is different than what I'm used to. I've had it alone and then in combination with more traditional shaving creams like Bond St's Proaso and Taylor. I still like it. The jar says to rub in the remaining cream after shaving. I have done this when using this product alone and not in combination with other creams. I have used Stephan's Stay-Smooth as a preshave for many years. This makes mediocre shaving soaps like Williams work well and the results are fantastic with better soaps like Arko. I wouldn't do without it again, especially at the price.

I'm new to shaving with a safety razor. So, I'll start off by saying that a brush and bowl are a must with this product. I just applied it with my fingers. I'm new again. I have decided to use a straight razor to get the most out of my shave quickly and cleanly. Bought, read reviews and wondered why not. It smells good and does its job well. I cook with it using a steamer towel and it's nice. I've used it a few times for straight shaves and ended up going back to my "Billy Jealousy Hydroplane Super Smooth Shaving Cream" which I use with my electric razor. I found out about this product while my hairdresser was using it. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. You use it like a shaving cream, but it's a skin lotion so you don't have to wash it off afterwards. Rub it in and it's better than shaving.
