This shelf was really easy to put together. I surprised my boyfriend by keeping his garbage, I mean stuff, in the basement. I put them together in 10 minutes or less - no tools required! I really like these shelves. I noticed that several people here have complained that these shelves are at different heights. One thing I found is that you really need to make sure the shelves FULLY fall onto the corner posts. Basically, until you hear something like a bang. I thought the shelves were at the bottom but they weren't. When I went back and fixed it both sets were the same height. Just keep an eye on it when you collect them.

We bought 3 of these 5 shelf units and assembled them. It was quick work and while they don't say tools are needed, a rubber mallet helped a lot. If you can get these blocks together by just snapping them together and being incredibly strong, you'll probably be fine. But I'm not young anymore and a rubber mallet helped a lot. I bought over 20 of these and set them up in my unfinished basement and garage. I love these things. First, the color suits me perfectly. beautiful flat modern space grey. The shelves have holes that are perfect for ventilation when using as an electronics shelf. I had 2 shelving units in my garage and needed more so I ordered these. They are a little slimmer than the ones I had before. They are not that deep, but the spacing between the shelves is a little higher. I don't feel any loss of square footage. They were so simple and easy to put together. A solid shelf that surprised me. I was looking for a stainless temporary solution, so I rolled the dice and won! Shelves and shelves are strong, the shelves do not bend at all. I'm on the coast and it's raining so I wanted something with shelves that wouldn't stand up to the water.
