If you have very tightly clenched teeth like I do, you can't cut them at all. For me it was a waste of money. If you value sustainability, it is best to switch to a biodegradable yarn.

I'm so glad I was able to find my Stim-u-dents online. I buy them at the pharmacy but they just don't sell them anymore. I've tried other types of plastic but nothing good. This is the best you can buy. I like that they are minty. I will buy them again now that I know where to find them. Less money online than in store, great buy.

I keep them in the car and at home. I've never liked flossing my teeth. They not only remove stuck food, but also massage the gums. So I get rid of the stuck food and then take another minute to go through all the teeth to work on the gums. My dentist noticed an improvement in the condition of my gums. I like these wooden ones a lot more than the plastic/metal ones which can't just be thrown away for safe decomposition.
