This wine stopper seems to work properly removing most of the oxygen to keep the bottle open but the wine takes on a plastic smell the next day. Tried with two different wines and same result - plastic taste poured into wine glass on day 2. I rinsed the cork thoroughly with hot water before use.

I like the ease of use. BOTTLE with date system on these hermetic closures. I didn't put my bottle horizontally but if I do and it leaks I don't think it will but if it brings the glass and works it. Great price for 2 easy to use with great features
