Excellent modulation in the braking system

Compared to the previous Hawk HPS+ model, they have much better modulation and the same braking power. Very happy after several days on the track on the Miata with BFG SportComps.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Functionality

Not at all satisfied: brake pads

I bought them in May 2016, tried to replace the front brake but these brake pads didn't fit because they were too small so now I have to jump on the internet and search for another set of brake pads for my 2001 Mazda Miata MX5. not happy at all.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Useless features

Good for endurance racing

I've used StopTech 309 endurance racing pads and they work great. They require a little more pedal power and don't have much initial bite, but they modulate well and handle the heat well. They don't last as long as real race pads, but are an economical choice for trash can racing. I can usually get a weekend (14-16 hours) off a set, which is perfect.

Excellent balance between road and track

I installed them on my 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata. The car is my daily driver and I see about one track day a month. These pads are a great balance between street and track use. I used new Centric rotors [ASIN: B000BZZPV8] and installed a stainless steel mesh. I flush the brakes with ATE TYP 200 DOT 4 [ASIN: B003VXRPL0] brake fluid about every six months so the car had a fresh flush. After that, the brakes were incredible. Never fades on the track and is solid on the road!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not bad
