Gasket defective?

I couldn't get this to work! My Prismacolor pencils and my Faber Castell Pitt oil pastels showed up at all. I could only use specific colors and press very hard to create color effects or blends. It was very strange. Like they didn't hold my newspaper at all. Maybe I received an incorrect batch? I love the Stratmore brand and am very disappointed.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Paper tears when you take it out of the carrier sheet

I love this Bristol Cardstock, but when you're tearing the pages out of a book it's almost impossible to pull the sheet out without tearing it around the edge. fortified side. Others I've used come off easily with no damage if you turn the page a few times. Not sure if there was extra glue holding the sides or if it melted at some point. It's good paper until you rip it out of your notebook.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Great for colored pencils!

I used this Strathmore series when I first started out with colored pencils. I tried to find them at all the local craft stores but couldn't find them. It has just enough texture on paper to pick up more pigment from pencils but leaves a nice smooth finish. This paper is my favorite paper for drawing with colored pencils and I have yet to find another that can match this paper. I have included with this paper an example of a still life I made many years ago.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long lead time
