Ink won't stick: Art paper

I tried using this with two different printers to make framed photos for candlelight. On both the home office printer and the big, fancy work printer, the result was the same - ink all over the page and unusable images. Instead, I printed onto regular carbon paper, and while obviously not as transparent, it was acceptable. If you have a craft project that requires parchment, I suggest trying plain paper first and seeing if you really need it.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Good mostly, but...

So disappointing! Kind of broke my heart.

This is the first time I have received a damaged package or product from Revain and the review is killing me but it was for me to do something special and I am so upset! This package arrived torn and dirty. When I opened it, it looked like the attached picture! It's parchment! I love the Strathmore brand, but the sloppiness really sucks, whether it's it or the execution. I was so excited to finally order it as well, which made it even worse.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Ink didn't smudge

I used this paper to print wedding invitation inserts. I was using the draft setting (along with the glossy paper option I believe) on an HP Officejet 8040 (inkjet). The paper seemed to soak up enough ink that I had no issues with smudges or dirty ink drips disrupting text, even bold text. I let the ink dry for about 5 minutes before turning the printed pages. but it might not be strictly necessary. Generally very happy with the results.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Earned without hesitation - hooray!

Works! I am very pleased to report that I was able to print beautiful wedding announcement inserts onto this vellum using an HP Envy 5642 inkjet printer. mode, and the italic font is no more legible than regular paper. The paper also cuts beautifully with serrated scissors and this whole project gets a lot of approval from me!

Pros
  • Designed for high quality inkjet color printing
Cons
  • No power

Can be used with inkjet printers!

Loved this parchment. The quality is very thick and durable, yet thin enough to fit in a regular inkjet printer. My printer has no problem with vellum and prints on vellum just as quickly as it does on plain paper. The picture shows that the parchment is quite transparent but at the same time quite flat. Even when printing thin lines, the ink did not smear. This was one of the biggest concerns about this. I warn you that folding the paper will leave a white line, so I do not recommend folding…

Pros
  • High quality translucent parchment
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I don't usually write reviews but I have to give my two cents on this one. I've seen other reviews where other people have had trouble printing, but I've found that as long as you only load and print one sheet at a time (a bit of a hassle if you're doing any volume), there are no problems. I didn't have to use any special settings either, just one sheet at a time and I had no problems with wrinkles or smearing. People who have problems may have problems with the printer, but in my experience…

Pros
  • Acid Free; Without chlorine; Recyclable
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
