I like it better than Moleskin

I like it better than Moleskin. I'm just a watercolor lover, but I need strong paper for drawing. It has this weird waterproofing on the back, but that's not a big deal to me. If you were a bit more advanced it might bother you, but I'm happy with my book. I've cleaned and erased a lot on the sides and it holds up well and doesn't rub off. I was recommended by Moleskin Magazine. I think it's cheaper too!

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Requires Socket

A dependable performer for the serious watercolourist.

I have tried many watercolor albums. Moleskine, Pentalic, Strathmore made the final cut. The Pentalic was just as good in every way aside from the slightly smaller size and rounded corners. Moleskine's offering leaves a lot to be desired, it's not a real watercolor surface with paper that flexes and doesn't stand up to even a small touch-up. This pillow - Strathmore - lasts. It can pick up tape, scrape, lift, pretty much anything you can throw at it. I am impressed and would recommend this…

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Doubt

Very good but there is a problem

This magazine is really good, the hard cover is beautiful, it opens easily, the paper is good and thick, but there is a problem with the sketchbook, the pages are not double sided, I mean this: you have one side, and on one side of the page you have a nice cold-pressed watercolor finish (which I think is very nice), but on the other side of the page, like the back of a real cold-pressed sheet of metal. On the back of the page is something called water repellent, so if the paint you put there…

Pros
  • Art paper
Cons
  • High price

Favorite Sketchbook!

Strathmore is already my favorite paper, but this watercolor sketchbook has become my very special favorite! For me this is the perfect medium to small size, plenty of room to work but easy to move around. The paper is so thick that you can draw on both sides of the same sheet. I use it to learn how to paint with watercolors, I draw random sketches and sketches, as well as finished works. In it I drew something as a gift for a friend and it was very difficult for me to cut it out of the album…

Pros
  • Art, Painting & Art Supplies
Cons
  • Not Safe
