Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Very flexible rear view camera

I installed it on my Jeep JK and because of its very flexible installation it was I able to install it another way. I attached it to the inner arch by opening part of the arch's cover, then rotated the image from the main unit and adjusted the exposure to compensate for the tinted glass. The result is a very discreet reversing camera that I can use with a convertible if needed (HT is now on) and captures the rear of my jeep in case someone bumps into it etc. The image quality is excellent so…

Pros
  • The SGR291CAM adopts a Sony Exmor 291 CMOS image sensor and uses a 7-element metal body, a medium horizontal angle glass lens
Cons
  • So-so

I've always loved my Street Guardian SGGX2PRO so I finally bought a backup camera. Reading the reviews I knew I needed to update to the SGGX2PROplus firmware. I linked several, had to do an update and failed. I wanted to call them but decided to open a support ticket. After 3 minutes I got a reply from John C with the exact procedure to update my main camera. I followed his steps and it worked great. 3 MINUTES! I wish every company I deal with had this kind of support. Thanks street guard! 3…

Time will tell, but so far so good!

This is a great addition to the Street Guardian SGGCX2PRO DVR. The trick is to update the firmware from their website called SGGCX2PRO+. Do not use the option without the + symbol.
