Cute and comfortable in my opinion

They fit my son perfectly as I bought them slightly larger to fit him even in the winter months. The insole is one size wider, which is great for fluffy winter socks. The velcro is nice and long so you can tighten it up heavily or leave it pretty and loose. They don't fall off his feet, even if they're a little bigger, he even picks them out of other shoes. Used for family photos, they get dirty but wash off very easily.

Pros
  • This shoe is comfortable for your little one and really stays on!
Cons
  • One day my kid wore them to school and the brown hem came loose. Low quality. Returned item for a full refund

Good for single use

All in all it served its purpose. We bought it for Easter pictures and they look very cute and pretty. However, they are definitely not up to toddler standards. I would definitely recommend that if you want them to stay beautiful for photos or whatever, basically only let your child wear them during said photos. They are VERY easy to scratch. I know there have been other reviews with the same problem. And I knew I was taking a risk with the purchase. Hence the 3 stars. Not a very good buy, not…

Pros
  • Wide and ideal for children's feet. Highly recommended
Cons
  • Looks very cheap. I sent them back

Worn after first wearing

I bought these shoes to be my son's "good" shoes. I love their look and am a fan of the Stride Rite brand. However, after the first wear, the toes were scuffed. The top brown layer is scraped off. This is of course due to my son running and playing in it so some wear and tear is to be expected. But I would expect shoes for kids to be a bit more durable. Also, the velcro is too long. While I appreciate the slightly longer strap because I've had shoes for my kids where the strap isn't long…

Pros
  • We are very happy with this shoe. Thanks you fit and are great!
Cons
  • Poor quality material

Fingers scratch immediately and not as widely as expected

As other reviewers have pointed out, the material on it is paper thin and of poor quality; Finger literally rubbed himself the first day. Also, they are not as widespread as I expected. Having removable insoles fitted my son's feet, but it also made them longer (just bigger) and therefore bulkier for him. Overall these are not great shoes for an active toddler but I will keep them for the discounted price I bought them for.

Pros
  • You are perfect. You look good...well made, comfortable shoes for toddlers.
Cons
  • Too expensive for children's shoes

Great shoe concept Not durable for toddlers

Great comfortable shoes. But unfortunately it scratches very easily. Within the first hour after my son put them on for Easter, the front of the shoe (suede type) wore out and the bottom of the shoe turned black. Then the straps began to peel off. But overall great shoes great shoes just not durable shoes for the price you pay for toddler shoes.

Pros
  • Bought to be used as church slippers but my 3 year old loves them so much he wears them all the time!
Cons
  • My grandson wore them once and the outside of the shoe is peeling off. Don't waste money

Velcro unusually long

The shoes look good and feel comfortable for my 5 year old. But the velcro is unusually long when tightened to fit snugly.

Pros
  • Cushioned footbed for all-day comfort
Cons
  • Doesn't offer good support

Stops abrasion after multiple wears

The toes of both shoes were completely worn out after a few wears, although our child only wears them to church. They seem cheaply made but in a cute style.

Pros
  • These shoes are perfect for the holidays. They spice up the outfit without losing comfort. My baby loves them!
Cons
  • 3 months in use

Live even better!

They're expensive, but in real life, they're comfy and sooo cute! My 4 year old wore them for our family photos and the holidays that followed and they were perfect!

Pros
  • Breathable lining to keep feet cool and dry
Cons
  • Not comfortable

Worst shoe quality.

We've always loved the Stride Rite shoes, so I don't mind paying a little more. The picture of this couple is a wear and tear. I am very disappointed in the quality. I bought another Stride Rite shoe that I am returning. I will return to Target's shoes.

Pros
  • Lightweight materials for all-day comfort
Cons
  • Appearance is outdated

Sweet but NOT durable

I thought it was super cute! I bought a pair for my two boys for their wedding. Upon checking out my son tripped and bang! The faux leather has completely come off. This was my two year old's first outfit. I know kids ruin things but it's tasteless and totally ruins the look of the shoe. I'm disappointed because I love them and they seem kid friendly but they don't last long.

Pros
  • Available in different sizes for the perfect fit
Cons
  • not breathable

Great wide shoes for a boy.

My son has a wide foot and they are comfortable, seem expensive and light enough that he can zip them up. Great product for the price!

Pros
  • guys great
Cons
  • Skin" will be erased after first wear. A complete waste of money.

The surface of the shoes began to peel off

The surface of the shoe started to wear out (on the toes and on the sides) after the first wear. The color underneath was dark green. I've never had a problem with Stride Rite shoes. Of course that was a disappointment.

Pros
  • I took out the insoles because my son has very wide feet. Fits him perfectly
Cons
  • After 3 socks, the brown color changed to black. Not worth the money.

Don't waste money

I know these shoes are still cheaper than others but they have completely fallen apart after only wearing them to school for a month. My son only wore them to school and took them off as soon as he got home. There's NO REASON for a pair of Stride-Rite shoes to fall apart so easily. I am extremely upset and disappointed. It is very difficult to find good wide shoes.

Pros
  • Muy comodos y ampeos
Cons
  • The material is washed off the sock after 1 use.

Poor staying power is the best in my rating

My son only wore them once before they started wearing them in the front. While they fit decently, they're a bit wide for his already wide feet and overall not worth the price. We've had better luck with other Stride-Rite running shoes.

Pros
  • Affordable price for quality shoes
Cons
  • Difficult to put on/take off

I love these shoes! in my opinion

Great dress shoes and if your child has wide feet you can remove the insert to make room. I would definitely buy again! Adorable shoes. The shoes fit well, or wide enough, and a really handsome little shoe. I’m glad I purchased them.

Pros
  • Adorable shoes. The shoes fit well or are wide enough and a really nice little shoe. I'm glad I bought them
Cons
  • Too expensive to be noticeably worn the first time you put them on. Extremely disappointed.

Not a durable product

My son wore them for a week and there was a hole in his toe...Remember he had another pair of shoes that lasted from September to January.

Pros
  • Bought these for my 18 month old son to wear to church. They fit great and are cute.
Cons
  • These shoes run true to size but I am disappointed that my toes rubbed after just one day of wearing.

Poor quality in my rating

My son wore it for a day. That's how he got home from school. The marks you saw are actually abrasions, they didn't even last a few hours! I will return them, I suggest you look elsewhere. Very disappointed considering the brand is decent

Pros
  • I liked the look and feel of the shoes. My son's wide feet fit very well. Just think it's a bit pricey.
Cons
  • After a few days the material becomes rough. My boy is 19 months old, we have never had such problems with other shoes.

Great shoes for toddlers, fits me

alwatmys stride rite has a great product for baby feet. We love their wide foot option built into the shoe. They looked great at a wedding and my little one wore them all day with no complaints.

Pros
  • Looks like great shoes. I have just received them.
Cons
  • There is a piece of cloth inside a shoe that is rolling up and hurting my grandson's foot. Cannot be worn. Very disappointed

Great weather in Washington

I bought these for family photos but my son loved them and wore them for several rainy and muddy days and they are still in great condition. Easy to clean and my son loves that you can play with it. You look good too!

Pros
  • My 6 year old can take them off and put them on himself and they are smart enough to wear to school and conform to the dress code. Very happy
Cons
  • Bought these shoes for my 2.5 year old. Cute and comfy but frayed on day one. Qualitatively disappointed.

The quality is not the same

I never write reviews but felt the need to. Stride Rite is the only brand of shoes I buy for my kids because I know they are well made. This time, however, I was very disappointed. I bought the first pair 3 weeks ago and within 1 hour of playing outside they were completely worn out. I have decided to buy another pair just for special occasions and this pair is already being worn on the front. He literally only wears them to church. Just surprised because our other Stride Rite shoes were…

Pros
  • Heel cup for added stability and support
Cons
  • Not slip resistant
