width is good! in my rating

A pediatrician recently told me that I need to buy him good support shoes that are too big for him because he "knees". He said most kids outgrow it, but the right shoes will help. He has had fewer falls than usual so far and seems more comfortable in it overall! Hope this helps someone else in the same situation!

Pros
  • My 8 year old loves them. For walking, running
Cons
  • The Stride Rite are generally good quality shoes but they are MUCH SMALLER than the advertised size and the velcro straps don't stay on.

Very well made shoes

My grandson lives on a farm. He is 16 months old and wears out his shoes very quickly. It took the longest and he's also bowleg-legged and they supported him by walking in a shoe. The pediatric orthopedist waits a few more months to see if he straightens up at all; He was very pleased with the parents' choice of any shoes for the rite of passage. We've only had him in the Rites of the Step since his first shoe. My children ; One of his mothers also only wore Striderite shoes. Well made, durable

Pros
  • Made from high quality, breathable materials that will keep your child's feet dry and comfortable.
Cons
  • Shoes can cause blisters or sores on your feet

We love Stride-Rite shoes...but not these

They were incredibly difficult to put on and even though they were the right size, he had stains on his feet from being too tight when he first put them on. Repeated spots lasted for weeks.

Pros
  • Manufactured by Stride Rite, a leading brand known for quality and comfort in the footwear industry.
Cons
  • The size may not fit all children

Ultra wide shoes are the best in my rating

Great shoes everywhere. My daughter has to wear a bandage and couldn't find the extra wide shoes she needed so I found them at Revain. They are not too tight and allow her to walk very comfortably with the orthosis and boot on her foot.

Pros
  • The first pair of shoes with flashing lights in the heels of the soles. Now there's a lot of stomping and giggling.
Cons
  • Dark blue may not suit every child.

poor quality the best in my rating

I am very disappointed in these shoes. After just one pair of our socks, they show signs of wear and damage on the top. Can't stand money.

Pros
  • I bought three pairs of the same size Stride Rite tennis shoes and they were much smaller than the other pairs.
Cons
  • They appear slim and small for their size.

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Small for fat legs

We evaluated them for my daughter and they still don't fit. She has the typical big toddler feet, so we couldn't put her on the back of her foot. I think we would have to increase it a few sizes to fit and then they would be too long. We're going to bring her back, which is a shame because we love the rite of passage.

Pros
  • Suitable for active little boys who love to run, jump and play.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be durable

Strangely done? the best in my rating

They leave strange marks/blisters on my child's feet after breaking in. It looks like they are poorly made or something is wrong. He can't wear them.

Pros
  • The shoes look great. Not wide enough for my grandson's feet.
Cons
  • I always have the feeling that my child will trip over the Velcro straps. So I don't put them in.

Children's shoes must be durable.

We bought them as new school shoes. I believe that children's shoes should withstand the playground. Unfortunately, they weren't enough for a month. The ankles of one shoe were completely lacerated.

Pros
  • Can be worn in any weather thanks to the weatherproof design.
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide adequate traction on uneven surfaces.

Didn't take long - my new review

My son has a wide foot and they are very comfortable in the wide size. However, after about 6 weeks the velcro straps started to stretch and after about 3 months the underside of the sole came loose.

Pros
  • Helps your child develop the confidence, strength and balance they need to grow strong and healthy.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be easy to maintain or keep clean

Works little ....! good for me

I bought these to replace a pair of size 7 Stride-Rite shoes and they don't feel like a full size. It looks cute and seems typical of this brand with good durability, but the sizing definitely feels wrong.

Pros
  • Crafted in navy blue, it looks stylish and goes with any outfit.
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide enough support for active children.

Completely disappointed and angry at how much I spent!

We urgently needed wide children's tennis shoes for my grandson. They fell apart after 3 months. After spending $40 I am very dissatisfied with it!

Pros
  • well done. The size is weird. I bought 3 different sizes before making the right choice but the quality is worth it.
Cons
  • I'm guessing 4 year olds have a hard time at school? I'm sad they couldn't even last 1/2 year.

Fell apart after 4 months.

I bought them in April and this summer my son mostly wore sandals and potty training too, but it's August and the bottom has almost peeled off. ๐Ÿ˜ณ I couldn't resist at all.

Pros
  • Cute shoes for cute kids
Cons
  • It's very tight. Not comfortable!

Disappointed: my rating

waste of money. The strap almost unravelled after the second use and I even got the Wide size. In addition, the Velcro almost does not hold. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • It has a durable, non-slip sole that offers excellent traction on any surface.
Cons
  • Shoes can be uncomfortable to wear

Good shoes for children with wide feet ๐Ÿฆถ

I really like the quality and durability of this shoe. My son has fairly wide feet, so it's sometimes difficult to find shoes. I can always rely on the longevity of the Stride Rite ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ.

Pros
  • The wide design is ideal for children with wide feet.
Cons
  • Shoes can make noise when walking

Didn't work for my sons SMO

The insole was very difficult to remove and the hole in the shoe was not wide enough to use with the SMO. We ended up buying shoes with laces and replacing the laces with laces with elastic closures.

Pros
  • Comes with a guarantee against manufacturing defects to ensure you have a hassle-free experience
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide enough cushioning for comfort

good shoes my rating

Shoes with good lining. My son had trouble getting to his feet but he said it was otherwise comfortable. We sent the boot back and ordered a wide one instead to make it easier to get in and out of.

Pros
  • Suitable for all seasons, making it a versatile addition to your child's wardrobe.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be flexible enough for natural foot movement.

Skip it.: my review

They don't look like real running shoes. You are very tough. The child cried when he tried to get her on his feet. Even the wide one... she couldn't put it on. Returned.

Pros
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor activities
Cons
  • Shoes may not "breathe," causing feet to sweat.

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible quality in my opinion.

Almost worse than any other shoe I've bought for my 7 year old daughter. As this is a good brand I thought I was getting good shoes but that is absolutely not the case.

Pros
  • The first pair I received had broken lacing. Finding a replacement was easy and quick.
Cons
  • They wear out after 2 months. So disappointed. Don't waste money.

The bottom fell off after 2 months

The pants fell off after a month and a half of wearing. Very disappointing. I have bought many pairs of Stride Rites over the past 5 years and have not had this problem with any of them. For the money I spent on them they should have lasted longer.

Pros
  • Great price here at Revain for this brand.
Cons
  • The tab at the end of the Velcro came loose after my daughter only wore it a couple of times. Not the quality I expected.

Not for wide feet best in my rating

They were the right length but were too tight over her feet and every time she put them on and we took them off her toes would turn red from complaining of pain in that area.

Pros
  • Available in a variety of colors so you can choose your child's favorite shade.
Cons
  • Shoes can cause fatigue or pain in the feet.
