👟 Stride Rite Sneaker Truffle: Stylish and Comfy Shoes for Toddler Boys Review

My son wore them, and then not every day, for about a month before the velcro stopped working. Except for the issue with the velcro, the shoes are very durable, but my son cannot wear them because the velcro doesn't work. I have also emailed Striderite and will remove this review if they refund or replace it.

I bought these for my toddler who is between 4 and 5 years old. Surprisingly, size 4.5 is not easy to find. We've had them for a few months now and they seem to be holding up very well. He just started walking and seems to have no problem walking in these shoes. It helps that they go with pretty much everything and are super cute. Highly recommended!

My son loves his brown shoes. He started wearing this special pair when he was 2 years old. And he only wore that style, so I kept buying the same "brown shoes." They are well made and comfortable for kids. With Velcro, it was easy to teach him to put on shoes, and the rites of the step were soft. Feet to help my son who left late. We call them his old men's shoes. And they are amazing.

This is the third pair of Stride Ride shoes we've bought! Even if they are a little expensive, they are worth the money. My 3 year old son is now a size 8, but since he "walks on tiptoe," he has to wear orthotics/braces to get his feet flat on the ground; We buy this brand of shoes in sizes larger and wider than his usual size. I've loved Stride Rite shoes in the past and bought these two sizes up for my son because they used to work so well for us, but it seems the company has decided to skimp on quality. The Velcro straps on both of these newer pairs stopped working almost immediately and my son tripped over the straps, which kept coming undone. We've woven the strap under the elastic straps below to keep it from tripping. I might expect that from a pair bought at Target or Walmart, but shoes at this price point…

I liked these and they fit well for a wide foot, but now the velcro no longer sticks. After removing some fluff, it still doesn't work. What a rip off for $50 shoes.

These shoes are stylish, easy to put on and very flexible! They provide great support for beginner walkers who are starting to move and walk faster. They are well made and durable.

I like the comfort and weight of the shoes, but after a month of wearing the velcro doesn't fit so the shoes fall off. Very disappointed with Stride Rite.

Bought these two months ago. Really great shoes for durability and comfort. But after a month of use the velcro stopped working and now the problem is with the shoes. For the price I paid for a good durable shoe and usually good brand quality I'm disappointed that the straps don't work properly. My 5 year old gets frustrated every time he puts his shoes on and so do I.

We bought 3 pairs of these shoes in different sizes. These are quality shoes with one fatal flaw - Velcro is short-lived. The Velcro lasts half the life of the shoe before failing completely. The side of the hook is perfectly clean, so that's not a problem. Our son only wears these shoes a couple of times a week at most. We will consider other brands in the future.

We are definitely a family and I love her gentle movements for toddlers who are just learning to walk. This is the next step in this line for more active toddlers and I love the fit, soft material and flexibility of the outsole.

The velcro on the left shoe literally stopped sticking after a month! and it happened again with a replacement. Because we liked the shoes we asked for a replacement and the same thing happened just a month later with the same shoes :( The shoes themselves were great quality but the velcro is terrible (maybe it was a bad batch)

I bought three pairs of these shoes for my toddler. I read the reviews and hoped I wouldn't come across a defective pair. IN ANY CASE, the velcro has failed. These are adorable well made shoes BUT in all 3 cases the velcro didn't work rendering the shoes totally unusable. Now I've bought Nike shoes for my little one - he seems to absolutely love them, STRIDE RITE will never get my business again.

I bought my grandson a pair of shoes that he grew from one pair to another. I love them so much and he likes to wear them very comfortable and easy to put on.

Usually the rites of the step are held and last a long time. This pair didn't even last 2 months as the Velcro wouldn't close before the stitching came undone.

Bought these for my son who wears orthopedic braces; However, the inner seam had rubbed so badly that it had terrible blisters. I liked the style but not the comfort.

We've had these shoes for four months now. The fit is great and they held but the strap won't close anymore. Something happened to the velcro without them using fasteners and they won't stay closed. Very disappointing for a $50 pair of shoes.

I am very disappointed in this shoe. My son has wide feet and these shoes fit him. However, the shoes can be used as the velcro no longer snaps into place. My son wore them less than a month and didn't wear them much. I expected he could wear them for several months for $50.

Good quality shoes, nice but not wide enough to fit my son's foot and high instep. The only shoes that are wide enough are the New Balance extra wide shoes.

Bought these for my 2 year old and they are so cute and comfy and also very easy to put on. We compliment them a lot. Very well made, these are my son's favorite pair of shoes!
