I have previously bought and returned Stride Rite Hudson sandals because the 8 my son normally wears is were too big. The sole of this shoe was very thick and heavy duty which made it difficult to move. I also decided that I liked the sleek, elegant look of the Harper sandals better. I ordered both 7 1/2 and 8 and to my surprise they are too small! My son's thumb is almost at the end of a size 8 sandal and it's only April.
