    Even the XW is too narrow for wide feet

    I wanted my 19 month old to love these Stride Rite SRTech Reggie sandals but even the XW was too narrow. My son has wide feet and we usually only wear the Stride Rite XW. If you're like us and usually wear XW, this won't work. I agree with other reviewers that they were difficult to put on and the shoe's upper was not flexible so chafing on the top of the foot was our real issue. We still love the Stride Rite shoes and the quality of these sandals is very good. If you have a child with a normal

    Other features are good, not very similar to sandals

    My son's feet are not wide so I ordered a regular width and this shoe is so hard to put on! It doesn't open wide enough. We really needed her, so I kept her, but it's a struggle every time. I had to cut off the green strip to stretch them a bit. Otherwise everything is fine, it does not look like a sandal, but they are light and allow the feet to breathe more than in sneakers. The color is nice as it can be casual or "trendy". Good quality, as with all the Stride-Rite shoes we've bought before,

    Ok after you cut them

    *second update* we fixed them! He hated taking them off but after reading the reviews I took a pair of scissors and cut them off. Voila! Now they go easy and he loves her again. It's weird that they're too tight to use without cutting, but it's great that they can be easily repaired. After all, $40 wasn't wasted. They just don't open wide enough for his legs to get in. It's a shame because he liked them when they were on but trying to get through the hole ended up breaking the deal as now he…
