Very good framework when all else fails

I like that it's easy to use, and you can build very complex pages with only a few files. The code is also very clean. It's not as powerful as other frameworks out there, but if your needs are simple then this will do just fine. You have to know how to write HTML properly, otherwise it will look messy. If you're looking for an easy way to create websites without having to learn CSS or JavaScript, then this is definitely worth a try. We needed something that would allow us to quickly build a…

My first choice when making web-based documents

It's easy to learn, it handles images well and it can be easily customised. It's not as popular as other tools so there aren't many tutorials or examples out there. The community around Stripes is good though. I do like how you can have different CSS stylesheets for each of your pages. We use Stripes for all our presentations and we love it. The only thing that I dislike is having to upload multiple versions of the same image for IE compatibility. If you're looking for something quick and…

Pros
  • Easy learning curve
  • Great way if working with HTML5 insteadof XHTML1.
  • Can create responsive websites without much effort (if using Bootstrap)
  • Has great documentation available online through their website
  • Good support forum from Stripe employees!
Cons
  • No mobile version
  • Not very common
  • Less resources in terms articles/tutorials

A bit complicated but worth learning

I like how it works with your existing java code, so you dont have to rewrite everything. Its easy to use once its set up correctly. The documentation can be confusing when getting started or even when looking at other people's work in progress. You should try out different ways of doing things before just settling into one way that seems most logical. It was more difficult than expected to get all our components working together. We had some issues where we couldn't access certain resources…

Pros
  • Ease of
  • Useful for Java projects (as opposed to using Spring) if used properly.
  • Easy integration between various technologies such
Cons
  • Not bad

The fact that it's open source, so I can customize to my heart content without having to worry about licensing issues. Also, because of this, most developers are willing to contribute back code improvements as well as bugs fixes. Not much, but there are some things which could be improved like adding support for more CSS media types, etc. A good starting point to learn how to build modern web apps with Spring Boot. We're developing an app where we need to show dynamic data from our database in

Pros
  • Easeful integration wit Gradle/Maven builds using existing plugin.
  • Mac OS X & Linux
Cons
  • All fine
