Doesn't work with our pen.

Does not fit our pen. It took me too long to try this. Only fits 1 inch. give it to someone else A real pain to even try to install.

Difficult replacement for the original.

This is not easy to replace. The manager of the original isn't coming back, so they supply a new bolt. But you can't use a wrench to hold the nut.

  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some faults

Excellent replacement in the Wheels and Components section

Just what you need to replace a torn and partially missing one. Quite easy to install, comfortable to grip although it seems thinner than the original. Highly recommended as a replacement.

EXCELLENT PURCHASE! suitable for motorcycles and weight training

It took some time to put this foam on, but it was worth it! The look and "feel" of the assist grip has changed significantly. The handle gets very hot in the sun. The foam grip also gets hot but doesn't burn like metal. Thanks very much!

Too short! for motorcycles and weightlifting

Revain is listed as 14 x 10 x 4.5 inches. I don't know where they come from. Item length 9 1/2 inches. I can't get close to 11 1/2" of my current item, which should have the same item number. I've tried returning the item but they're giving me no choice.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Minor problems

Review Full of tricks and tips.

Everything became very easy when we learned the secret. The secret is. Coat the entire INSIDE foam grip with dish soap. Once the foam is covered, start at the top of the RV handle, push down, NEVER pull on it. If you do this it will break. When you put the nuts back on the bolts after installing the spring, the trick is to grab a needle vise. The work paid off, looks great!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Replaced by Lance 1885

This went smoothly. Use Simple Green as instructed and compressed air if available. Thoroughly spray SG on the inside of the replacement foam. By pushing and twisting the foam, he was able to get it in the right spot most of the way. When it slowed down, I put some compressed air under the foam. This allowed me to finish positioning the foam. The outer surface is smooth, not ribbed like the original. It's also a bit shorter, but more than enough for a pen.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Legacy model

Good to use replacement OEM

This grip is a bit difficult to put on. Following the package directions, I sprayed Simple Green on the metal railings first and also coated the inside of the new handle. It took about 5 minutes to bend the handle half an inch at a time trying to keep the entire handle moving rather than stretching or tearing it. The instructions suggest using an air compressor to blow air under the handle. It wasn't very comfortable for me so I don't know if it would make things easier or not. Once the handle…

Not what I expected

I had to replace a bent rod. I already have aluminum mounting blocks that appear to be the same as the photo. Removing the bolt and removing the bar is very easy, which I do every two years to replace the foam grip that wears out and wears out. This rod does not come with foam and has a black block which I do not want and which is different from the photo. To remove the rod from the blocks I had to cut off the sprocket star washers holding the pin. It seemed a bit over the top as my model is…
