🎨 Pebeo Fluid Paint - Studio Gouache 100 ml, Permanent White, Velvet Matte Formula Review

I wanted to use this color in combination with my Chemi Jelly Gouache colours. I ran out of white so bought this instead of buying a new set. It's not transparent enough. After 4 coats of paint you can still see my sketch below. it also dries very clumpy and does not smooth. this is very frustrating. I thought I got a deal because there's so much paint in the tube, but it looks like that's all you pay for.

This color is not as opaque as regular gouache. I bought several colors and some of them even have a little shine. I need them for a high school drawing class as an all purpose paint for any colored paper. Works best on white. A little disappointment. I wonder if I would have done better with tempera. It's nice that it comes in large sizes and we've made sure it works.

This studio gouache from Pebeo is big enough that I can use it in a way that most watercolors and gouache can't be able. I use it to paint large abstract paintings, and white is particularly good for mixing with colored gouache or adding pigments. I only wish I could afford every color of this material! The only downside is that since it's a student grade, some of the colors step up a bit. But it can have its positive side when used intentionally.

Based on the oil painting background I tried to try a water based medium. In the past I have purchased this product with student colors. but just in case I also bought a higher quality W&n Designers Gouache 37ml Permanent White to compare. the pipe, which looks like a string of snot, just hangs down and cannot click.
