The best invention in measuring and marking tools

Saved me when I had to install TVs in plastered walls. Normal spike finders cause false positive results. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes very accurate and fun.

Best for metal spikes

This is the best spike finder I've ever used. We've tried them all. It's simple and accurate. We are commercial builders, so we mainly work with metal studs. For wooden posts, you must locate the post headers. It still works well on wood and is less likely to misidentify tubes or wires as studs like scanners do.

Cool little tool!

I wish I had known about this wonderful little tool many years ago. It's easy to use, accurate and just a great idea. We live in a 100-year-old plaster and slatted house that we have been restoring and renovating for several years. One of the hardest jobs is finding the studs under the 1/2 to 1 inch thick plaster over the batten.
