This is a great book for beginning knitters. You no longer need to buy many templates. They use simple diagrams and use different edges, cutouts, patterns, etc. I can buy more for gifts.

This book is exactly what I was looking for. Using the instructions and design suggestions, it is very easy to create your own children's sweater. I've finished one and am working on the second. Highly recommended.

This is truly an amazing book. First, choose the style of dress you want to sew (sweater, open front, etc.) and the type of neckline (round, V-neck, hood). You can then accessorise your sweater with a variety of intarsia patterns (even some great ones for boys like space and pirate themes), layering techniques (including a great ruffle), lace/cuff techniques (more than just simple repeats). k1p1) and even some fun styles are technical.
