Unreliable for supply pumps

I ordered this in August. In October he is dead. It was used to pump light water and was stored between jobs. Big disappointment.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I will add later

Lack of proper operating instructions

This product is large and bulky; and the included hose fittings will not allow you to screw on a standard garden hose. It also appears that the lowest part of the base reaches the water not less than an inch deep; will try it next time it rains heavily.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • The list gets long.

Auto on/off never worked properly.

I would like to start by saying the instructions that came with the product are terrible - there is nothing about adjusting the on/off level. At first, after pumping out all the water, the pump did not turn off. Now it won't start unless I give the pump a good shake to make it work. All pumps in this category have similar disadvantages.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • ugly packaging

A powerful little pump

This pump has amazing performance and pumps a lot more water than I expected. It's all plastic, I wasn't thrilled but it looks like it will work just fine. However, the height the water has to rise to turn on is too high for my application and I will be returning it. I was also hoping that the drain would accept a normal garden that doesn't exist.

  • Impressive

Much better than float pumps. Bandits works

Replaced our float pumps in three places near our foundation and groundwater wells. These work much better than others. I like the adjustable water levels as our foundation hole requires a lower sill than the groundwater catchment. They were very easy to install and started working right away. These pumps are powerful enough to pump vertically and in backyard canyons. Very happy with these pumps. The company did a great job at a great price for complete peace of mind.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

It works! No clogging! Automatically on/off!

Excellent. clog free. Install a 75 foot 1 1/4 inch drain hose to reach the culvert. A ridiculous amount of standing rainwater drained from our lawn. Mulch, grass clippings, debris and small sticks didn't clog the unit. A 24 inch hole was dug in the low ground surrounded by a 36 inch high metal cloth to prevent debris from entering. Place the unit in a 5 gallon plastic bucket with many 1/4 inch holes drilled. Put the device and bucket in the ground and everything worked perfectly. A long power…

5 stars to 4 stars. best in rough plumbing

I drained about 50,000 gallons from my yard in less than a day. I have a second pump because the first had trouble turning itself on. The company sent me a new pump, no questions asked. The second still works perfectly, don't forget the check valve! I walked the line 200 feet to my ditch and it was worth it. It also sucked one of the rocks in the picture through the pump (about a 1-1/8 inch rock) all the way through the pump into my line and got stuck in the check valve. So be aware that you…

Auto on feature for supply pumps

I installed this pump in a 20 gallon pool. After using the pump for about six months, the auto-on feature stopped working. Heavy rain during a tropical storm flooded my backyard and adjacent patio. Rainwater had almost no free connection with the pool. Now I control the pump only in manual mode. Bought a switch to control the pump. The electrical switch has proven to be 100% reliable. The pump works well but can't handle the amount of water in heavy rain (4 inches plus in an hour). Purchase a…
