Review on 💪 Powerful 1HP Submersible Sump Pump (3600GPH, 26' Head) - Schraiberpump by Darius Carraway

I installed this pump in a 20 gallon pool. After using the pump for about six months, the auto-on feature stopped working. Heavy rain during a tropical storm flooded my backyard and adjacent patio. Rainwater had almost no free connection with the pool. Now I control the pump only in manual mode. Bought a switch to control the pump. The electrical switch has proven to be 100% reliable. The pump works well but can't handle the amount of water in heavy rain (4 inches plus in an hour). Purchase a second pump to connect in series with an existing pump. This should double the water output. It remains to be hoped that both pumps will fit into the existing pool. If not, take out my shovel and put it in a larger basin. I connected the pump to an existing pool backwash system. Install two check valves to stop the backflow of water from the pool to the sump. The pool pump closes the check valves and I get overflow water into the sump pump pool. When I connect the second pump I fit a 1.5 inch valve to solve this problem. When I do a backwash, my pool closes this valve to prevent water from going into the sump. I have a version of 1.5 PVC pipe schedule 40. Lifting is not a problem. The rise is only about six inches, but the standpipe is about 80 feet long. The pump has no problem with that. Liked the pomp, but I feel the auto function itself isn't as reliable as I'd like. Hence the electric switch (which proved to be 100 percent reliable). When I get the second pump, they run in sequence (in manual mode) with an electrical switch controlling both pumps. Judging by the reviews, the problem lies in manual switching. I would recommend an electric switch as an option for this pump. Very impressed with the electrical switch I use. Happy with the performance of the pump in the configuration I use it. Connect the second pump, working on both pumps, with an electrical switch. Both pumps work great. Now happy with the setup.
