Excellent stone for soaking in 1000 grit.

Comfortable to the touch, cuts fast, mine likes to soak for more than 20 minutes. After 6 chef's knives and a couple of slicing and utility knives, it started to wrinkle a bit. Levels on wet and dry 3M 400 grit granite tiles in less than two minutes. Smoother feel than my Sharp Peeble 400/1000 stone, much smoother.

Pros
  • Sharpening stones
Cons
  • unreliable

Great stone to start the sharpening process

I sharpen a lot. Some do yoga, others meditate. I sharpen knives. This is what I use as a starting point for my dull knives when the knife has no damage. I saw it recommended on Burrfection/Youtube. Check out his page. No regret. Inexpensive and will get the job done given its thickness.

Cons
  • Not sure

It is very good: Whetstones

I am very surprised at my disappointment with this stone. I have purchased Cerax 1000 and their 8000 trim stone and both are fantastic. They don't wear out too quickly and cut just like groats. But Cerax 320 just doesn't match their other stones. After about two sharpenings, the stone is badly worn. I sharpen a lot and feel like it doesn't cut fast enough for a 320 stone and doesn't last long enough to be worth my money. Otherwise, if you sharpen from time to time, then this stone is for you.

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • Boring Pack
