Great case, crappy fans

This case is excellent. Everything fits together well and is of high quality. My favorite feature is the built-in 1/4x20 thread on the bottom, which allows for a variety of mounting options. I use it with a Panavise suction cup and it's a fantastic combination. Fans are a different story. They are of dubious quality and one of them soon started making a lot of noise. They'll likely be upgraded to something better at some point.

Updated GPS, Finder and Accessories Guide

There's no way this thing will ever fit in the current Stratux AHRS module. The fan gets in the way and doesn't allow the case to be closed. This is in addition to not being able to use any other fan, which was fine with me. I only chose this case because the official Stratux case took a very long time to arrive, but I just had to wait. Really disappointed. Edit: I'm an idiot. I had an extension cable on GPIO pins, AHRS *fits*. However, that doesn't fix the fact that the USB fan can't be used…

  • Housing with standard tripod/suction cup nuts for easy mounting. Also compatible with Gopro mount system.

Works with a few downsides.

Suits me. A notice. The main body has four latches that are pushed in to release. Since the plastic is quite hard, finding these unlock points may take some patience. The plastic part of the USB section just slides off. The USB fan failed 30m after assembly while trying to figure out how to connect it to the iPad. This was quickly rectified by the seller. The USB fan cable in the assembled case has a severe 90 degree bend and I will most likely drill another hole for it. Looking at the picture…
