Review on Enhanced Stratux ADS-B Kit with AHRS Module, GPYes, and Summitlink V2 White Case with Dual Fans by Vickie Palmer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works with a few downsides.

Suits me. A notice. The main body has four latches that are pushed in to release. Since the plastic is quite hard, finding these unlock points may take some patience. The plastic part of the USB section just slides off. The USB fan failed 30m after assembly while trying to figure out how to connect it to the iPad. This was quickly rectified by the seller. The USB fan cable in the assembled case has a severe 90 degree bend and I will most likely drill another hole for it. Looking at the picture of the fan's USB connector, the cable's black shield is quite thick compared to the two thin wires. I'm looking for USB port options that can somehow be attached to the case with screws and USB extension cables. I've already found some 90 degree cables that might help. As mentioned by others, the GPS module blocks some ports so you need these extensions for things to work. The Rasp Pi has four ports. Two are occupied by SDR, one fan and one on the left for GPS. When both fans are running, the inside of the house is quite noisy. Walmart sells additional rubber feet to hold it on the visor as the suction cup is not included. Rotation. Maybe 30m? I take a large suction cup and test it out, alternatively there are three other suction cup mounts from Ram.

Pros
  • Includes fan, case and mounting hardware. Multiple antenna holes provide more flexible antenna position and better portability. Raspberry Pi is not included.
Cons
  • High price
