Almost ordered, but.

I almost ordered these after reading the reviews and seeing the mention that this is 512k. Seller should re-use old sales pages with new/updated items as these ESP-01S are definitely 1MB just like all ESP-01S. I only used one and tested another. Both worked great. I'll update this review if I run into any issues with the remaining two. Before you download your sketch/firmware, do yourself a favor and erase the chip using Flash Download Tools. Also, feel free to grab a pack of these if you're on

Cheap WiFi for Arduino

Pretty cool stuff. It's a little tricky to get started as some of the information is outdated and it seems you need to lower your data rate a bit to get a reliable connection.

A little pain but does the job with the job.

Slight headache setting up. I had to flash it 5 times before it accepted my firmware. However, once set up, it worked as it should. When flashing with ESP, as soon as the name changes in ESP3D, you'll know it's being flashed. After that, if he has ESP and a bunch of numbers when connected to him via Wi-Fi, he still hasn't accepted. The default IP on mine with ESP3D before it was changed to local was 192.168.0.1 and the password before it was changed was 12345678. There are other IPs and…
