These retrofit lights worked great! My only downside is that I have too many lights in the hallway for their brightness and now the atmosphere reminds me of an operating room! I'll see if there's something with a softer sheen instead. The bulbs I had before were much softer and more attractive. You look at them and they are blatant. I was very concerned about this product and the 4 inch Sunco cans I bought at the same time. I had so many fears. 1: It will take a lot of time and effort to connect each glass. WRONG: A glass lasted less than 2 minutes. 2: They will weigh so much that they will destroy the ceiling tiles. 4/14/20, 5 out of 6 bulbs blown. I will say that the seller was ethical and trustworthy and refunded my entire purchase price. I am very sad that these headlights are broken, it is frustrating to have to replace them. I've never had an LED break, maybe it's just a bad batch? About 2.5 years ago I installed about 15 of these lamps, some with dimmers, some not. I was very happy with the lights, the lighting is bright, stable and the color temperature matches perfectly between sets. Recently, some lamps that are not dimmable have failed. I just installed 8 of these modified 4 inch Sunco glasses in my new bedroom. The cans came in relatively easily and for the most part the bulbs/light engines are great. The finish is nice solid metal with a smooth clean paint job and the spring clips are just enough to hold the sign very firmly in the glass (if it wants to sag a bit, lift it and rotate it about 15 degrees in both directions). it should "bite" and then latch on to the ceiling.)
