Wrong cable sent, assembly failed

Despite poor instructions, I was able to assemble the robot in a few hours. Or it would be if there wasn't a greyscale cable (they sent two, both wrong) with pin connectors where a socket should be. Build cannot be completed. I was planning to demonstrate this kit in a robotics class where I am a programming tutor. It will be difficult to sell if I can't even turn it on and run demos due to lack of wiring. Why would they even need cables like this when there's no way to attach male connectors…

Great work but not for beginners

Not easy to set up just needs some patience. A set of screws was missing. ezblock studio is not working yet because. I cannot connect my smartphone/tablet/laptop to the car via Bluetooth. After some research I was able to connect my car and smartphone to the raspberry controller on my phone via wifi. So I learned how to set up a Wi-Fi connection and how to get in the car using the Raspberry management app. The good part is using the manual, assuming you can access the machine after following…

Fun little project but needs some work on the instructions

This was a fun project for my son and I but the instructions weren't clear in places to assemble. I was hoping my son could put it back together without me so he could study, but he messed something up and I had to take it apart and put it back together. But overall fun.

Great for both beginners and intermediate Raspberry Pi enthusiasts

I liked the packaging and contents as this set was well organized and put together with labels and manual. The included paperback manual contains all sorts of information for both beginners using Scratch and advanced users programming in Python. This is my third or fourth Sunfounder product and I like the quality and completeness of these kits for any project they are intended for. A few years ago I bought a Smart Video Car Kit V2.0 PiCar-V. This PiCar-X comes with almost everything I added to the PiCar-V myself such as the UltraSonic sensor, microphone, speaker and face recognition software. Advantages: more compact. This is a new offering from SunFounder using their Ezblock interface on a Raspberry Pi SBC. This is a big improvement over the previous PiMobile, which was built from acrylic parts and used a metal chassis with threaded holes. Unnecessary defects, but otherwise a neat, usable kit

This unit drew me in with its metal chassis and steerable motor/wheel combo. In general, wheels have lower rolling resistance than tank tracks, which increases battery life.
