Description of Energy-Efficient 150-W Ceramic Heating Lamp for Iguana | SunGrow Infrared Heat Emitter, 110V Infrared Light Bulb

✔ FOR A THRIVING IGUANA HABITAT --- The infrared heat from the SunGrow light bulb penetrates the scales and skin tissue of this tropical animal. The warmth will keep your pet healthy as it widens the blood vessels and increases blood circulation allowing them to stay active. Ensure that the enclosure’s temperature should not drop below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. ✔ ENCOURAGES SOUND SLEEP & BLENDING OF VITAMINS --- 150-Watt Ceramic heat emitter by SunGrow is an affordable way to provide heat for your 6 to 7 inches long pets. They don’t emit any light which makes it suitable for daytime and nighttime use, as it won’t disturb your pets’ sleep and still promote the blending of Vitamin D. ✔ DIFFERENT NEEDS FOR BABY AND ADULT IGUANAS --- Iguanas need a lot of heat. While only one heat bulb is sufficient for a baby lizard; but for an adult, you would be needing at least 6 heat bulbs to adequately warm him up. Make sure you use the bulb with a porcelain socket. ✔ HIGH-ENERGY EFFICIENCY --- The ceramic bulb turns the electricity into heat, with no light emission. This makes it much more energy-efficient than regular light bulbs. They can last up to 10,000 hours! The E27 socket fits all standard home US sockets. ✔ SOLID CERAMIC HEATING BULB --- Within 10-seconds, your heating lamp will give off very strong heat. The high-purity ceramic clay can be used in humid environments like terrariums or vivariums.

Total Waste of Money

Based on my observations, this heat lamp is a complete disappointment. The light isn't strong enough to provide sufficient heat and it stopped working after just a few uses. The only good thing about it is that it was easy to install. Unfortunately, that's not enough to make up for its poor performance.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Poor heat output, stopped working quickly.

Large Hermit Crab Warmer

This light really warms my hermit crab and aquarium. I just use this light to warm both of them to the ideal temperature.

DANGEROUS! Blew our fuse box

Bought two of these and tripped both fuse box safety switches. The first one also broke our wire clamp lamp. When I tried to remove it, the filaments in the cage lamp came out along with the ceramic heater. I had to buy a new one (now $30 from the picket). I tried a second ceramic heater in a new clamp lamp and it also broke our circuit in the fuse box. Luckily it didn't break the lamp clip when I took it off. I opted for an infrared lamp instead (after resetting the fuse box again) and it…
