Description of ๐Ÿชต SunGrow Cholla Wood: 5 Inch Long Aquarium Decoration, Chew Toys for Small Pets & Artistic Home Decor - 6-Pcs Long Lasting Driftwood

โœ” GENUINE CHOLLA WOOD --- The raw Cholla Wood log by SunGrow is the dried husk of the Cholla cactus. Each pack contains 6 pieces, each 5 inches long with a hollowed center. Simply soak for 24 to 48 hours and itโ€™ll settle down at the bottom of the tank. โœ” FOR PLAYING AND HIDING --- Small shrimps, fry and fishes enjoy swimming through and hiding in the Cholla Wood. Consequently, they feel sheltered in their own little space. โœ” EDIBLE CHEWING LOGS --- Larger fishes and hermit crabs sometimes chew on Cholla Wood or eat from the surface of these logs. Reptiles, hamsters, birds, and other small pets also enjoy using Cholla Wood as an edible chew toy. โœ” DECORATIVE FOR PLANTS AND CRAFTS --- Cholla Wood is used to enhance the appearance of potted plants and flora. Their rustic surfaces and varied girths are coveted for crafts. Hobbyists often use these for making candle-holders or for simply decorating a photo frame. โœ” PREPARATION BEFORE USE --- SunGrow Cholla Wood is a raw product and doesnโ€™t have any thorns on its surface. It can be chewed upon by all the pets. Shrimp, fry, pleco, hermit crabs, fishes, even reptiles, and birds love nibbling on the Cholla wood. PREPARATION: Before placing the product in the petโ€™s habitat, rinse before use, even after boiling or soaking. A "post-boil soak" in freshwater is a recommended step, too.

Not Worth Your Money!

Based on my experience, this aquarium decoration was a waste of my money. It looked great at first, but after a few days, it started to deteriorate and fall apart. It was also much smaller than I expected, making it barely noticeable in my tank. The only positive aspect was that it was listed under "Pet Supplies," making it easy to find, but other than that, it was a disappointment. Save your money and look for a better product.

Pros
  • Gives a natural and rustic look to the aquarium
Cons
  • Requires regular cleaning to prevent algae and buildup

Awesome tiny shrimp chops

They're small but I like the way they look. They have a kind of smoky gray look, very clean look. I'm very impressed, in fact I have about 5 of these for aquariums and vivariums. Ideal for woodlice, shrimp, small creatures, cleaners. Very nice view, hard to find.

Pros
  • Wood
Cons
  • Hard to tell

First impression is good just smaller than expected

So they arrived and I was surprised that they were tiny (not tiny but smaller than expected). So I immediately checked with a ruler. And I was surprised to see that they are all 5 inches long anyway. Some are a bit thicker than others, but mostly they are quite thin (about 3/4 inch and inch). I would say since you get 6 per pack it's worth buying. They look pretty clean (no mold), they have some dirt on them so you need to cook them. I think they will work for what I need them for. It's notโ€ฆ

Pros
  • fish and aquatic animals
Cons
  • boring packaging
